RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT
After a month of deliberation, the Jury is pleased to announce the results of the 2025 edition of the Maghreb Photography Awards contest. Thank you to all the photographers participating this year. This year, we received applications from over 50 countries around the world, with a significant increase in applications compared to last year. We would like to remind you that for the past three years, participation in our competition has incorporated the PER CAPITA INCOME principle. This made registration free for all photographers from the Maghreb countries and Africa in general.
A big thank you to the members of the jury. To the l'Institut Français d'Essouira which will take over from the Rencontres de Bamako to host this year's MPA exhibition of the winners which will take place in Essaouira, Morocco from November 27, 2025. A big thank you to the photo magazine OpenEye which has supported us since our beginnings and to the photo laboratory Picto, our new partner who will be responsible for producing the prints for our upcoming exhibitions.

MPA 2025 - MAGHREB PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS
The Maghreb Photography Awards is a contemporary photography competition centered on the theme of the “Greater Maghreb.” Its mission is to promote photography within the Mediterranean basin, with a particular focus on countries from the Maghreb. The competition is also open to Africa, as it is a continent of the future, rich in talent. African photographers native to the continent can also compete in the category “Best African Project of the Year.”
The call for entries opens every year at the beginning of May and runs for two months according to a well-defined schedule. The competition is based on the principle of per capita income in each country, which ensures that participation is entirely FREE of charge for all photographers native to or residing on the African continent.
For the year 2025, the winners will be exhibited at « l'Institut Français d'Essaouira » during the event « LES RDV DE LA PHOTO » starting on November 27. The finalists will be exhibited in Tunisia in December during another renowned photographic event.
